The 100 Strong program is rooted in the history of Aurora, Oregon, an early colony committed to the concept of helping others. For 30 years Aurora was a working example of “love your neighbor as yourself”, and their success is what drives the 100 Strong program today. It is now our goal to bring the program to communities all around Oregon. It worked for Aurora; it can also work for you.
Recipients of the grants are not the only ones that benefit from 100 Strong. Participants also find the program to be a moving, transformative experience. Communities have used the 100 Strong program to strengthen school programs, start new libraries, and help neighbors pay down bills.
